MTN DONATES TURBONET DEVICE TO VOLTA GJA

MTN Ghana, Ghana's leading Mobile Telecommunication Company, has donated a TurboNet Router device to the Volta Regional Chapter of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) during its Editors' Forum in Ho.

The plug and play, super high speed 4G internet router with capacity to provide up to 32 users at the same time is to be used at the newly built Volta Press Centre to strengthen the already cordial relationship between the two parties.

Mr Samuel Koranteng, Corporate Services Executive, who presented the device said the Company was impressed with the pacesetting innovation and foresight of the regional Association, hence, the donation to provide Internet connectivity to the only regional Press Centre in the country.

He said the gesture was to boost work of the executives and members of the Association for becoming the first to organise a GJA awards at the regional level and being first to construct a Press Centre outside the national capital in Accra.

Mr Koranteng said the achievements by the regional Chapter was contributing to raising journalistic standards, promoting professionalism and welfare of journalists.

Mr A. B. Kafui Kanyi, Volta Regional Chairman of the Association, thanked MTN Ghana for its continued support and called on corporate Ghana not to relent in investing in the media.

He said the device would make the Press Centre a real resource centre and a rallying point for journalists and media practitioners in Volta and Oti regions.
